Not every China gateway is interchangeable, even for the same destination. Each of the five ports Transeasy operates through most deeply serves a different part of the country and a different mix of cargo.
Shanghai is China's largest port and a core hub for both ocean and air freight — the default choice when in doubt, and the deepest carrier network of the five. Ningbo, just south, is a major container port serving East China's manufacturing base and often runs competitive capacity when Shanghai is tight.
Qingdao and Tianjin both serve North China. Qingdao is a key gateway for the broader North China trade region, while Tianjin is the primary port for Beijing-area cargo specifically — the better choice if your goods originate near the capital.
Xiamen, in the south, carries strong Southeast Asia connectivity alongside its standard international services. Choosing the right gateway is mostly a question of where your cargo actually originates — the shortest inland leg to port is usually the cheapest and fastest one, and matching cargo origin to gateway is one of the first things we work out on a new shipment.
