Thirty tonnes of overweight cargo, bound for India, exceeding standard freight weight limits — the scope of this project ruled out standard road freight equipment from the start.
Specialized containers and inland transportation vehicles were deployed for the move, and routing was planned specifically around weight and clearance restrictions along the route — bridges, road surfaces, and permitted axle weights all factor into route planning once cargo reaches this scale, in a way that never comes up for standard freight.
This is the kind of project where the routing decision often matters as much as the equipment decision. A technically capable vehicle is only useful if the route it needs to travel can actually accommodate its weight and dimensions — which means route planning has to happen before equipment is finalized, not after.
